How do you score yourself some Prada on a budget?
Get your thrift on baby!
I found a Prada dress while thrifting a few weeks back at Talize.
Generally I don’t even bother looking at the black dresses when I thrift because I’m not attracted to them but this time as soon as the touched this material I knew it was different. When I pulled out the piece and spotted the bright gold and red zippers I thought it might be a cool 1980’s punk dress. As soon as I spotted the Prada tag I snapped it up in my arms without saying boo. I didn’t need to alert anyone around me to my amazing find.
When you discover something insane like this you keep it on the down low till you leave the store then you shout it from the rooftops until your voice gives out.
I had my doubts I’d even be able to get this dress on but the stretchy fabric was forgiving enough to allow me to see what wearing a piece of Prada would feel like.
What does it feel like to wear a Prada dress?
It feels pretty damn sexy.
The dress is simple with classic clean lines but unique enough to leave a bold impression.
Prada On A Budget
The long side zippers are fully functional which is pretty cool.
This is the highest end brand I’ve ever worn. I’m not a label whore although I do recognize their resale value. I probably would have kept this piece for myself if it were more my personal style but I don’t have a hard time passing this onto someone that’ll love it more than I do.
This Prada dress is now listed in my Etsy shop which will reopen on April 25th.
If you thrift what is the highest end brand you’ve spotted? Did you buy it? Did you sell it? Did you keep it and wear it with pride?
If you don’t thrift what the heck are you waiting for?
Linking up with the fabulous Patti over at Visible Monday.
