I'm on my way home today from our little trip away to Alberta for a family reunion and quick visit to Jasper in the Rocky Mountains.
These are some photos of a little trip my girlfriend and I took to the lovely town of Stratford Ontario (famous for the Stratford festival and the hometown of Justin Beiber) last week.
Can you see the apples in the pattern on the dress?
The dress is another one that I found a bit too short and so I added that band you see at the bottom. It was actually a belt from another dress that I've never used. See? hoarding pays off.

Both cute and clever! Remind your hubby of that next time you want something. The boots also look fabulous with this outfit.

Cute–if you hadn’t said it I’d have thought the dress came like that!!
Simply adorable dress.
Love these photos! I always hold onto these belts too and have zero use for them. Maybe it’s time I take up sewing 🙂

That extra at the bottom goes so well, I’d never have guessed it wasn’t always like that. You just have a designing eye!
Thanks Sue. They are my favourite boots.
Be warned…last year I thought all my dresses were too long and then promptly went through shortening all of them. This year I’m finding them too short and having to lengthen them. A little bit of sewing knowledge can be dangerous and habit forming.
That dress is so cute! And I had to laugh at your comment about first your dresses being too long and now them seeming too short. 😛 Hey, at least you have the know-how to fix the problem yourself! For my dresses that are too short, so far I’ve been too lazy to do anything about it, so I just wear them over jeans or leggings.
You look fab!! Love the outfit and photos!!
You were so close to where I live!!! Wish I’d know, I love Stratford and would have enjoyed meeting you there for coffee/tea!!
Pura vida, my dear!!!

I’ll have to remember that the next time I’m out that way : )
