I wore this out to high tea and to get my tea leaves read the other day.
This was the first time I've ever done anything like that. I was very sceptical. In fact I was 100% sure she would just say a bunch of non descriptive BS that anyone could make up.
I was stunned at how precise and detailed this woman was. It was spooky. Kind of freaked me out.
Have you ever had your fortune told, palm read or gone a physic? If so were they any good? Did what they predict come true?

Yes, I had a well known psychic do a reading when I was about 20 yrs old and she was freakishly accurate.
That is so interesting…did you ever go back?
Absolutely gorgeous! This dress is perfection and so are the heels. I love how your backdrop complements the outfit.
First things first: You dress is gorge. The colors are fantastic. Secondly – I have NOT ever had a reading, but I’m torn. That kind of thing fascinates me, but I believe in it just enough that if they told me something bad, I would freak out. I’m too much of a worrier, and would probably obsess over it.
Never had a reading and totally not interested in that stuff!
That dress is GORGEOUS–and you’ve styled it perfectly!! plus that red door made a perfect backdrop!
Love the huge bursts of color. It is like a impressionist painting almost.
How interesting. I’ve never done any sort of fortune telling. I’m always a bit worried that if it is accurate that it will be unnerving. My sister had a mentor that would regularly offer to read her tarot cards. They were accurate, but the friend always said it isn’t so much mystic as just a way to bring things you subconsciously thinking about to the fore as you interpret the cards and talk about them.
such a pretty dress! I love that you chose to do photos in front of that red door because it looks beautiful!

Suzanne, love, love, love these photo’s of you, perfect surrounding for that dress. And, that dress is amazingly wonderful, fits you like a glove.
No, I have never had my fortune told or palm read.
That dress is stunning! You finished it off perfectly with the shoes…and I gotta say, I love your hair!

my friends go to physics a lot but I’m to scared too. even though they all swear you never learn anything bad i’m still nervous! that is quite the floral print, shocking and in your face – i love it!
This outfit is so STUNNING!!! Are flowers part of the dress? Very unique and a great touch.
I went to see a physic in my early 20s. She was extremely vague and I was not impressed. However, she was spot on with my gf. So maybe I was not giving her the right vibes. Physics kind of creep me out.

Super pretty dress, those colours really work for you!
I read an article once which explained exactly how these people work out what to tell you, and it was fascinating, but made me a 100% sceptic for life.
When we came across that church with the red door I told my girlfriend we had to stop and get photos. I’m so glad we did.
I’ve been told that they don’t really tell you anything bad. Honestly in my life I never thought I’d go. It was on a whim.
You are like my husband. He said she would be classified as a witch or something and would be strictly taboo with the Roman Catholic faith.
Thanks Trina : ) This is one of my all time favourite dresses for summer. Very cool.
Thanks Lindsey. When I saw the red door I knew we had to stop and take some photos.
Hmmm I love your hair too Debbie, cause we have the same hair : ) Your ends aren’t as extreme but the red to strawberry ombre is rare indeed. Thanks for popping by twin.
Thanks for popping by Em : )
The fabric flowers are pins that I added.
I agree that physics are kind of creepy.
I’d love to read that article. I can’t seem to find much on it online. She didn’t read the tea leaves at all it seemed. She just looked at them for a split second and then went on a rampage talking non-stop for 3-4 minutes not even really looking at me. It was weird.
Stranger still was the fact that my girlfriend’s reading was not remotely the same. At all. About anything.
I can see that. Once you start giving a bit of feedback they know what direction to proceed. I never said anything while this woman spoke. I can see though it is about how you interpret what they say.
I had a tarot reading once which was spookily close to the bone with what was going on in my life at the time but since then none of her forecasts for me have come true. Who knows how these things work really?
I LOVE your dress!! And the shoes too. But that big floral print is just stunning and you wear it so well.
Love, love, love this dress. Is it one of the ‘accidental’ ones? I love going to psychics. A lady at work has one she goes to and the stories she tells me are spooky to say the least. I get goosebumps. Lots of people she sends from work say the same. There was the strange incident where this woman told her mum about the affair her father had and then saw the father and told him the same. Apparently it was awkward in the car afterward. She doesnt hold back. She senses the deceased around you and was surprised when one person from work came and he had significant dogs all around him. She wasn’t aware that he was a canine policeman for years and years. I want to go. I’m scared to go. I want to go. Eek!
Wow that dress is amazing; to see, and how it looks on you with your hair and skin tones. I found you via Tara’s hop. Nice blog and info here.
It is so funny how they can get to close to the truth. I was wondering about the predictions coming true though. Interesting to read your story.
No…this dress is quite old. The “accidental” purchases will need to be lengthened. What a pain to have bought online, spent $ on shipping and now have to spend $ to get them altered. A good reason NOT to slip up and accidentally purchase dresses online.
As far as your friend’s reading…Awkward!
I had no preconceived ideas prior to going (wasn’t scared or worried) and really it was all on a lark. I’d say if you go with low or no expectations it shouldn’t be bad.
Thanks for popping by Renae.
Oh my Suzanne, can you look any prettier? This dress was screaming your name, it hugs you perfectly, love it!

Beautiful, beautiful dress. Love the big bold poppy print. And your photos are brilliant (love the red doors!).
No psychics here, but I’ve had body talk treatments. Which I liked and seemed pretty intuitive.
This is the perfect dress for tea! Thanks for linking up for Favorite Fashion Friday. Hope to see you back tomorrow!
