Wide leg jeans. Love them or hate them?
I’m talking about the ones that go straight down from your hips. Not flares or bootcut.
For a petite gal they can overwhelm your frame and make you look like a Hobbit if you’re not careful. Pairing them with some comfy platform or wedge sandals will make you look long and lean. Those of you that are already long and lean can wear the flat sandals here. Lucky bums.
I just bought these from Anthropologie. Another gift to myself for my birthday. If you’re counting that is gift #2. This was gift #1. I like to go for an odd number, so #3 is imminent.
Do you own any wide leg jeans?

I Love them, but they are some what limiting in terms of style. But what a great and easy statement!
I love how your styled them in this set. But, yes, I wear these with platforms! I, too, am verticallly challenged!

Love love love!! But I’m more of a flare wearer rather than a wide leg. I don’t own any right now because it’s hard to find them in talls but I keep looking! This is a darling outfit you’ve put together.

I don’t own any wide-legged jeans, but I’m a big fan of the style. And I have to think that they’d end up being slightly comfier to wear than skinnies, anyways. Might be keeping my eye out for a pair–except even with my long-held love for jeans I don’t wear them as much as I used to in the tropical heat.

I can’t wait to see these jeans on you. I bought 2 pair of wide leg pants recently and I have to say, they are so comfy even if they don’t photograph well.

I love a wide leg trouser. But jeans just don’t work. Flares, yes. Wide leg, no.
I love vintage and couldn’t wait to get an old pair of what we used to call elephant bells. I’m
5 10″ and even with height they look awful on me.
Too much fabric makes me look a bit like the side of a barn. 🙂

Flare and long legs are a match made in heaven! With short ones like mine, I would need sky scraper heels to compensate 😉

I loved the idea of an odd number for gifts! Not 1, but 3 or 5 then 🙂 why not? I like flare jeans and Hasbeens shoes, but this top is the thing I really really really would love to wear now! It’s been difficult for me to find jeans, but of course, I will keep on trying! Nice pics, again, what for a great top!

I love this look! The only trousers I ever wear are Seventies-style flares, although I don’t have any jeans. I’m reasonably tall at 5’8″ but still like to add heels or wedges, I like to tower! xxx

I love them. At 5’4″, I find when hemmed for my flats, the proportion of the width, ends up just about perfect. They’re a perfect balance for my wide shoulders.xox

Oh yes, I am on board with your counting system. Unnatural and imaginary numbers also work for me as we can make it all up as we go. Heh.
I love these bag jeans. I love them on most people if they are not street-sweepers, gross! I don’t see them around here much and I don’t get it. They are the most comfortable pants because they don’t stick anywhere. It’s hard to pry people out of their yoga pants I guess.

Personally, I like them. These that you’re showing I’d wear in a heartbeat. I have a thrifted pair not quite this wide a leg, that are my favorites. Treat yourself! It’s your birthday!

Absolutely love these wide leg jeans, best way to dress up a pair of jeans. I saw those at my anthro, you smart birthday girl. Love the way you buy and choose your birthday gifts, I do believe this another thing we have in common. I’m quite loving that messengar bag as well and just might need to purchase this for all my summer vacations, don’t ya think?
No Fear of Fashion says
But when is your birthday? Wider jeans are not that good on my small hips and bum, so I will leave them to you.
