Last Days Of Summer Outfit Idea
Something about the pattern and the length of this dress reminds me of Lucille Ball. What a gorgeous funny woman.
I like the shape and pattern on this dress. A timeless classic style that still manages to look contemporary.

I love Lucille Ball. I can still watch it (I don’t but I could). This length would only work for me if there was a big tule skirt underneath it.

Because the dress is too long? You’re tall woman! : )

Because I have no hips and I am tall. The combination with this length skirt makes me look like a stick. A thick stick, but still a stick.

Thanks for thinking of us here in the eternal summer. Fabulous dress and those shoes – they are calling my name. xox

Wait. What? Summer is almost over? Oh no. I was just getting started on my summer sewing. Sigh…I love the fabric of this dress and the way you’ve styled it. Summertime perfection.

Lucille Ball, she was a goddess! And I see the connections you have inspired here. You would look fantastic in this, and you have the comedy and beauty to keep the parallels going.

Well, now that you mention it . . . yes, I could see Lucille Ball wearing this. and yes, she was some kind of gal’ all right. It is a lovely dress and those green sandals are fantastic.
Petite Silver Vixen says
Lucille with her zany antics and facial expressions would have rocked this dress. A nod to a bygone era without it being wrapped in moth balls. I would happily wear this strolling through the streets of Barcelona whilst taking snaps of all the glorious Gaudi architecture.

I love the shoes! Comfy sandals that can actually be worn with and look good with dresses are the kind of shoes I’m always on the lookout for these days, because closed-in flats are a recipe for sweaty feet in the tropics, and nobody wants that…

The dress is a dream 😉

whoo hoo! Tomorrow we start spring! So we get to have crazy hot days soon. Although I do much prefer my winters, it is lovely to wear a summer dress without tights and cardigans and scarves and coats. I totally adore my Swedish hasbeens and have to delete the emails I get from them as ‘too tempting’. Great post xxx

I am so tempted to buy some of those shoes…but dang…they are expensive!

That dress (swoon!)

It would look so brilliant on you!

What for an amazing dress! Yes, the shape, the length, the print! And together with the wooden shoes, it would look more beautiful! This is the kind of shape I prefer, and length too! Plus a different print, and I am sold – really loved it! Hope you have a very nice week!

That’s a lovely dress, great shape and print.
I think our summer has well and truly finished already – it’s been raining and cold all day today… xxx

What a gorgeous outfit. I can certainly see it on you! I have fallen in love with the Swedish Hasbeens shoes but I don’t think they are sold in my town. They are definitely on the wish list though I am not sure how I would choose only one pair! xoxo

I’ve added “get a ModCloth dress” to my fashion bucket list. They are all so lovely.

I loved Lucy! She was such a talent. Love this dress and the bag, too! I saw one similar at Bloomingdales, and I almost bought it. Great outfit inspiration, and I love the reference to on of my favorite tv series ever,

I’m of the same mind as Greetje, I would wear this dress with a big poufy crinoline underneath as i don’t have any visible hips either. The pattern is very pretty!
