Well I'm managing to get back to things here finally after breaking my radial head in my arm/elbow 12 days ago while visiting family in Edmonton. I've gotten through the worst of the bruising, swelling and pain it seems. First physio is today trying to regain lost movement in my left arm. I will know in a month if I will need surgery.
This has taught me a good lesson…I'm not invincible, and I'm not as good of a roller skater as I used to be. Also, uneven cement is totally unforgiving unlike the smooth polished wooden floors they used to have when I went roller skating way back when. Oh yeah…and don't have an accident at my sister's place because she works in the hospital and sees so much horrible stuff all the time that when someone close to her has an accident unless you have blood gushing out of your head she will think you are simply being a whimp and cry baby. Therefore I didn't go to the Dr. or Emergency for a full week after my accident. Yep…family does that to people! Oh…and did I mention that I skated for another 40 minutes AFTER I fell? My niece wanted Auntie to "keep going!"
