I am quite like George in that I’d like to wrap myself in velvet.
I lieu of a velvet track suit however I have decided upon this deep olive velvet blazer…

BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT!!! Not enabling – I’m encouraging, I’m being supportive, I’m being a friend. I wore my black velvet blazer today and someone asked to pet it and said that she would even wear it because usually she wouldn’t wear what I wear. It’s the power of the nap.
That color would be gorgeous on you. I have a plum velvet blazer that I wear during the holidays. One of my favorites!
I really love both these styles. Velvet always looks so cool, but how it feels just bothers me, so I’m not sure I’d ever wear it- but if I did, it would be to emulate that first look!
I do love velvet and have an olive-colored shrug I can wear on our twelve cool days per year! This one looks fab. xox

I have a burgundy velt blazer which I love but pretty much only wear it during the holidays. I think if it was another color, I may wear it more often. I love the olive color of this blazer.

That blazer looks amazing, and it has a particularly fabulous shape!.
I worn some velvet when I was a teenager (80’s were so funny!), and I remember a deep red velvet frock- coat, which was absolutley stunning!. I think I need more velvet in my wardrobe just now!

The one thing that’s kept me from buying this same blazer is the ruched sleeves. Please tell me if you find them annoying. I feel that I’d rather scrunch my sleeves myself as other times I’d like them long.
I’ll let you know. I thought about that briefly before hitting the buy button too.
I would live in velvet if I could. You’ve inspired me to do a post featuring my velvet jacket. Scuttles off to the back of her wardrobe, muttering ‘where the hell is my velvet jacket……..’
