So you may remember I had my eyes on this lovely skirt in gold sequins from Anthropologie and I saw they also have it at Mod Cloth for $20 less…if you're interested.
However a few weeks ago while out popping some tags at a thrift/consignment store I scored this silvery crushed maxi skirt. It might look like velvet but it's not. It's a light man made material that really does look metallic.
It reminds me of something you might find on Game of Thrones.
And for all you Game of Thrones addicts let me just say this…
winter is coming!
Yeah…I know. Huge news.
Consider yourself warned.
Booty shot!
Silver maxi skirt – thrifted, Booties – TJ Maxx, Sweater H&M, Velvet cuff – handmade by me
Whoops…I meant bootie shot!
One of the scariest photos to take is a photo of yourself while walking away from the camera.
WHAT??? I think I have a bald spot! When did that get there?
Where did all that "junk-in-me-heavy-duty trunk" come from?
Why did my elbows grow extra folds of skin?
Thank heavens I don't have to see all that going on back there on a daily basis.
What happens behind me stays behind me.
Hallelujah for that sisters.

I think I had seen that skirt in Anthro too and loved it! Yours is just as cute. The bias cut can be unforgiving but you look perfect from front and behind! xoxo

Right? I could have lived my whole life never seeing my elbow folds and been very happy : )

I know. LOL I think we’d be raiding each other’s closets on a constant basis if we lived closer.

I have a lot of weird stuff going on on my bod too, lol but i don’t let it get to me, we are not forever young and plus there’s photoshop, so who cares, right?
I love your skirt, my mom gave me last week a beautiful metallic silk maxi from Myco Anna –
I like this look, love the mix of different fabrics – La color de la booties is sensational, Extraordinaire!
Keep the booties going or coming…

Thanks for thinking of me Alice : )

Wouldn’t it be great if we could walk around with our “filters” and “photoshop” fixes IRL?
The colour was what sold me on those booties. : )

Simply stunning!! The skirt is so elegant and you look amazing! What junk are you talking about? I see a gorgeous, curvy behind. Who wants a flat bottom?

Hey there, you are looking fine in this outfit. Love the color and your plummy purse and boots. I’ve done some backside pictures, It’s always a bit scary isn’t it?! You are looking great!

Every inch beautiful! Love your texture and vibe combinations … very cool and effortlessly polished.
The bald spot you note is probably just a cowlick … I have two, one just on the crown, the other just below it … and they both go different directions! Have your hair stylist check it out. She (he) probably would have told you if you had a thinning spot. I freaked out when I noticed mine, too!
jane at the flight platform says
thats fabulous! The skirt the boots and the booty shot! If i looked like that from behind i would attach a camera to my backside and record my day!! x beautiful x
Suzanne says
LOLOLOLOLO that really made me laugh! Thanks for the smile : )
Suzanne says
The last time I got my hair coloured the gal was mentioning extensions. I think that was a big hint on the thinning issue. I’m pretty sure it has been this way my entire life. I’ve always had thin fine hair and the way it lays at the very top of my head, probably a bit of a cowlick as you suggested makes it worse.
I would so love to get extensions, but it feels like just another thing to add onto the ever-growing list of body maintenance things to do.

First off, you had me at ‘pop some tag’. I may be 52 but I get that reference-funny! I say ‘score’ on that skirt and it’s fab on you. Front, backside, it’s all working lady. Enjoy it all now–the 50’s are fabulous but for different reasons. You are looking chic and gorgeous!
xx, Heather

Very sexy outfit. Not showing flesh, but shape. Don’t you worry about what is going on at the back. You have a lovely bum. I have a scrawny little bum, small hips and broad shoulders. So I don’t like behind shots for that reason. I want your bum.
But that is not to be. I will accept that.

Suzanne says
Well big bums are in fashion now ; ) I will thank my Mother for my big butt. Funny thing is that me and my sister always wanted small bums. I guess you always want what you don’t have.
