I really wanted to know why on earth someone would take back these babies…

My girlfriend and I spotted them at Anthro in the sale section. They don't have any shoes here in Ontario at Anthro unless someone has ordered them online and then returned them in store. 

We were so enamoured with them that we decided to share them. 

And by share I mean Hazel bought them and then I put them on my shoe shelf. 

Okay, I did swap them out for another pair of heels that Hazel had been eyeing up on my shelf that are too vertiginous for me.

And Hazel can take them back to wear whenever she wants.

I just needed to get to wear them with an outfit or two.

Win win. 

 They happened to go well with the dress I found in the Anthro sale section on the same day. Funny how that works.

After wearing them for a bit I think I know why they were taken back. They have no cushioning on the ball of the feet. 

Why can't shoe manufacturers think about something as basic as a bit of cushioning? 

Must I do everything

all the time

for everyone?

Yeesh!

(exasperated sigh)

I may be able to save them with an insole.  They are too cute not to give them another chance.

What do you do when pair of shoes aren't as comfortable as you'd hoped? 

a) Give them away to a co-worker that you secretly can't stand and hope that they give her grape-like clusters of blisters up and down her feet. 

b) Take them to your nearest consignment/thrift store.  Maybe someone there has naturally cushioned feet and will love them.

c) Buy lots of different insoles until you've spent an additional $25 to find one that finally fits and works.

d) Take them to a shoe cobbler hoping he has some magic fairy dust to sprinkle inside.

d) Fuel up with your favourite alcohol or pain killer prior to wearing. You don't mind suffering being a bit wasted in the name of fashion.
