My husband and I often play this game.
20 years younger or 20 million dollars?
We argue about the pros and cons of each option.
Of course if you're super rich you have the option of looking much younger via surgery and every other kind of procedure out there.
But that involves loads of risk that I'm no longer willing to wager.
You never know what you'll look like in the end. There are loads of bad examples of face-lifts walking around.
Imagine, you spend all that money and are left with something much worse than what you started with.
There was a time when I had a whole list of the surgeries I thought I'd be ready to go under the knife for, but they never happened. They were never a priority and I was always too scared.
I got my tonsils out when I was five and then had the horrendous botched surgery last year that has cured me of ever wanting elective or any other kind of surgery again.
If I had the chance to be physically 20 years younger though…
Yeah.
I'd do it.
In a heartbeat.
You just wake up one day and you are 20 years younger.
You wouldn't be reliving your old life…you'd just be 20 years younger now.
You'd have an extra 20 years to make more money.
Your past would still be your past, you'd just have more future.
My body would no longer argue and complain when I asked it to do something.
Dr.'s appointments would only happen once every two years (if that) and there would be no thought of illness.
And yes I know I'm not 100 years old and I still have plenty of good years ahead of me (well who really knows?) but the whole physical aging process is something I could really do without.
That said, the alternative to aging isn't so hot.
But this is just a game.
What would you pick?
Money or youth?
All you youngin's out there don't bother ; )
As they say…youth is wasted on the young.
