I've seen lots of real fur this year in what could be considered a bit of a rebirth of the fur industry. I simply cannot abide by this trend. I know that the vintage fur pieces are old etc but I still get creeped out about it. I just don't like the idea of it.
Faux fur on the other hand can be lots of fun. Getting a piece that doesn't make me look like Chewbacca is another story.
I tried and tried to find a faux fur vest that I could wear with confidence and wasn't able to find anything remotely suitable. They all added loads of hairy weight to my frame. That's right. Two things not associated with feeling attractive, hair and weight.
The compromise was a fur trim collar. It is still a bit puffy, but I think it looks okay and I can tell you it is very warm. Also added bonus, the collar comes off for when it's not freezing cold outside like it is today.

Jean shirt – H&M, Boots – Miss Mooz, Blazer – ModCloth, Skirt – thrifted, Glasses – Firmoo
Obviously I've been fantasizing about this coat for a while since I made this Polyvore set I think in Sept or Oct. I was able to snatch up the blazer when ModCloth had their big sale.
