I wore this outfit thrifting a couple weeks ago right after I scored the amazing shoes that I wrote about here.
Pleated Skirt Velvet Blazer Fall Style
Pleated skirts are having a moment now. Well, another moment. I never thought they went out of style.
The aubergine colour of this thrifted skirt (thank you Talize!) is one of my favourite fall colours.
I look like I know what I’m doing here right? Showing off the pleats…acting all “professional model-like”.
Ha!
Really I’m just trying to squeeze in as many photos as possible before the diva shows up and decides she needs to smell every inch of the space where I’m trying to take photos.
Looking at these images now I see that it would be better if the skirt were about an inch shorter and not pointing directly at my cows (man-calves).
The next time I wear this I will try to pull the waist up higher.
Not this high…
Although that guy might be onto something.
If we all had our pants this high muffin tops would disappear and smaller Timbits would reign supreme. You may however experience some nipple and armpit chaffing. Nevermind! That’s what the belt is for…I think.
I’m sorry. You will never be able to erase that image from your brain.
My man-cows look positively minuscule now.
It’s all perspective folks.
Here are some more ideas for styling pleated skirts…
