This week I'm going to be showing off some of my birthday gifts that I was lucky enough to receive. 

I had my eye on this little tribal beaded skirt when it first came out in the early Spring. It has been added to my collection of wonderful distinctive Anthro skirts.

The top was something I had on my Pinterest board for a while. It has a very unique flattering cut and a lovely  small  flower print.

There is quite a bit of pattern going on here, but because the top has a small pattern in a neutral color I'm able to pair it with the brighter skirt which has larger bolder patterns.

 
I love this big floppy hat I got last year from TJ Maxx. Perfect for someone like me that turns piglet pink as soon as the sun hits my skin. The hat is great since you can squish it up in your suitcase and it'll still come out looking fine as the edges are wired.

 

 

What I did: 

Everything but my skirt is neutral, keeping the focus on the skirt.
Added a skinny belt to highlight my waist.  
Used a clutch in keeping with the slimmer silhouette.
