I’ve been adding some listings to the Etsy shop and thought I’d share some with you that are particularly lovely.
While I’d love to keep each of these pieces for my personal collection my job is to share my love of secondhand clothing with the world and not just hoard it all for myself.
(I know it’s hard to believe!)
New In The Etsy Shop
70s Boho Maxi Dress With Wings
First up is a vintage 1970s angel sleeve boho dress. This is the one the other vintage seller was kind enough to point out to me at the thrift store. Thank you!
I thought long and hard about wanting to keep this dress but in the end I decided it was just too boobalicious.
It was screaming,
“Wardrobe Malfunction!”
One sleeve looked a little off in that photo but I have since repaired it and now they both hang perfectly.
The Walter Baker Print Mixing Dress
I will freely admit that I didn’t know the brand Walter Baker but I knew a good piece of clothing when I spotted it. Turns out Walter Baker is well liked by celebrities.
I can see why, the design of this piece is well conceived. It has two sexy dramatic side slits and an uneven hemline. I like the unique print mixing, angel flutter sleeves and front lace up. Lots of design elements going on but they all work well together.
This feels like wearing a summer breeze.
The swishyness factor is a ten on this dress.
I had to take a photo in my chair because… hello!
it matches the dress perfectly.
And just in case I forgot, the pug came and reminded me it was getting perilously close to supper time and she might faint from low blood sugar weakness at any moment.
Her internal clock is always running about three hours in advance.
Joseph Ribkoff Tropical Dress
Finally there is the Joseph Ribkoff one of my favourite Canadian brands.
The colours and print grabbed my attention first but the asymmetrical neckline and cool space-age cap sleeve make this one dynamite piece.
Can you believe the tags are still on this? Original price was $165.
This is just a sampling of some of the pieces I’ve added to my Etsy store this week with many more to come.
These are great examples of how many fabulous items you can find when shopping secondhand.
I understand that not everyone has the time to devote to finding such pieces and that’s where I step in and help out.
It’s a joy for me to know that these items will be getting a second chance and avoiding the landfill.
Which was your favourite?
Linking up with the lovely Patti for Visible Monday and Jess for Turning Heads Tuesday.
