So here are the last photos from our trip to the south of France.

Place Massena – Wonderful modern tramway in the heart of Nice and a great example of contemporary design in stark contrast with the old architecture.
One of the famous pebble beaches in Nice. Funny story…we learned that long ago there was actual sand in Nice at the beach. I'm not sure if they didn't have enough, it eroded away, or they thought the rocks were better…but I can assure you they are not. They are like walking across burning coals, are hard to walk on and are super uncomfortable to lay on. I guess the one positive thing is when you come back from the beach you don't have sand everywhere…
What worked as far as outfits?
The 1 2 3 outfits I made with the skirt below worked.
This vintage dress was perfect and I love it.
It is a good thing I double checked the weather the day before we left. Don't rely on looking up "average temperatures" to decide what to pack. It was much cooler than normal this year so in a panic I tossed in some extra closed toe shoes, the brogues I wore here…
Added in an leather jacket…that I wore here
And added a floral shirt you saw above and a scarf and wore that instead of the shorts which I didn't end up taking with me because it was too cold so I didn't wear this outfit either.
And I didn't wear my wildcard outfit below…
But I added this maxi dress last minute and this is the only photo I have showing it…(members of Robert's family…sister, neice, she had the baby like a week after this photo was taken, and other sister) I stand out like a sore thumb don't I?
I can see that when I travel it is more difficult getting shots of me in my outfits since I am almost always holding the camera.
Overall I was pleased with my packing and didn't feel I'd overdone it.
And hey! I managed to wear a couple of vintage pieces on holiday which made me very happy.
