I’m so old.
I’m so old I was around when marsala was called burgundy.
It’s true.
Burgundy hasn’t been burgundy since what?…1980?
There was wine, maroon, cherry, more recently, oxblood. Yet another “shade” of a marginally redder burgundy.
This year though the burgundy has a bit of an orange/brown undertone…thus it is now marsala.
Thus my vintage leather coat that I thrifted for $1.50 comes darn close to the colour of the year though.

Full disclosure. I got it for $1.50 because I had $10 credit at Talize.
I know I already own a burgundy/oxblood/maroon/marsala leather coat…but this one is shorter, and 1970’s style. And it came with a special surprise hidden in the pocket…
An old kleenex.
Surprise!
Here I am wearing all shades of grey. I’m not going to even mention the 50 shades…
So yeah…burgundy ooops I meant marsala and grey work well together. Here are some other fun colour combos that show you how to wear marsala colour of the year 2015.
