Transition Into Fall Fashion
I wore my own version of this outfit today with items shopped from my closet and a pleated skirt I picked up at a consignment store.
I didn’t bother with the hat or jacket as it was too warm still.
I’m not complaining!
Seriously…if fall and winter never show up I won’t miss them one bit.
I love these booties shown here. I just need the heel to be about two inches shorter.

I still have no idea how to work longer skirts. Any skirts really besides pencil skirts. I find that extremely difficult with my body and age. Need help.

I don’t do pleated skirts, but I do so love that jacket. Which is not surprising as I have a Max Mara one almost exactly like it that I’ve had for probably 10 years or so now. It goes with EVERYTHING!

Yes, I have noticed pleated skirts everywhere! I like them if they sit high on my waist; otherwise, the pleats tend to fan open and ruin the shape of the hang. Goodness knows I would never want to fark with the intended shape of a skirt! I like how you’ve punked this look with the jacket and boots. I didn’t realize it was still hot there.
I love this- and it is something I think many women could recreate with items in their closets.

I miss fall and winter 🙂 Because I am living abroad for a year, I had a few days of fall, so few that I really miss wearing a coat again. But anyway, your selection now is haven for me 🙂 I loved the skirt and checked the site, then I saw it’s Nordstrom and my life is on hold – all to be bought when back home again 🙂 Or else the customs taxes are heavy 🙁 But soon, soon 🙂 Hope you are fine and having a great time!

I’ve resigned myself now to slowly transitioning. I’m sad to see summer go as it seemed to take a long time to get going and by the time it built up any head of steam, poof, we’re into the beginnings of Autumn! Great skirt. I tend to prefer box pleats rather than full pleats but I do love the colours of this skirt. And oh to be able to wear floppy hats. But a wee head does not look stylish when totally covered by hat!
