What are you loving lately?
We are starting to see a bit more sunshine and blue sky. The thermometer that has been stuck below zero for months on end has finally inched its way upwards and I feel like my favorite season of the year is almost upon us. I thought I’d take some time to share what I’m loving right now.
Quick Update…
I woke up to this today…
#springinontario (insert devastated face here)
Never mind, I’m sure it’ll all be gone in a few days…fingers crossed!
What I’m Loving Lately
Taking The Pug For Walks Again
As we haven’t been able to do this for months Zoë is enthusiastically enjoying all of the fresh and stinky Spring smells and my body and brain are delighted to get out of the house for some air and exercise.
Oranges
I was prescribed some new meds for my latest health scare and my taste buds have packed up and gone on vacation. Nothing tastes like it should anymore. The only food that still delivers on its taste promise is an orange. I don’t often eat oranges so this has been a weird dietary change for me. Now I eat an orange a day, which of course keeps scurvy and the White Walkers away. Ha! Is anyone else starting to get pumped about the final season of Game of Thrones? Mind you
, it’s been two years since the series stopped, I can barely remember what I did yesterday let alone what Game Of Thrones was about two years ago. I’m crossing my fingers they’ll have an extra detailed recap or some really good flow charts to follow.Catastrophe
If you haven’t seen this brilliant series yet you need to check it out. I’m watching it for the second time, this time with my husband and have almost finished the final season.
Even the second time round the series made me laugh till I cried which is a rarity. I’m going to miss it.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Sharon’s quirky and colorful vintage inspired wardrobe which has been a source of inspiration since I first began watching the series several years ago.
Maggie Rogers
I just discovered Maggie Rogers a week ago and have been listening to her non stop on repeat. It’s not unusual for me to drop everything I’m doing and dance around like a fool while the pug watches, only half amused as I’ve disturbed her from her day long nap which is normally only interrupted by intense bouts of begging for food for her belly.
I like all of her songs but Burning is one of my preferred dancing tunes.
Ebay Score Pucci Maxi Dress
I almost fell over when I won an auction on Ebay for this designer Pucci maxi dress in silk jersey.
This exact same dress previously sold at Harrods for $6,500 US.
The silk jersey feels like hundreds of rose petals kissing my skin.
As much as I loved wearing this incredibly silky piece I have a feeling it will soon wind up in my Etsy store as the color isn’t ideal for me.
What about you? What have you been loving lately?

That Pucci dress is amazing! Lucky you. I’m not sure I’d be able to part with it. I’m not the least bit envious of your snow, though. We’ve been having some gorgeous Spring days, and I love going out for walks and look at all the plants and flowers emerging. You can almost see them grow! And I’m also loving having my freedom back after clearing my parents’ house. I don’t watch much televison and am one of those weirdos who’s never watched Game of Thrones. I’ll keep an eye out for Catastrophe, though. Those blue boots are divine! But how horrid that your meds are playing havoc with your taste buds. That sounds like hell to me. xxx

Gorgeous dress!! Loving the warmer weather and sun. Getting into everything secondhand I can 🙂
Great song! <3

The dress is incredible Suzanne! I’d say the stars aligned and the karma was definitely favorable because this dress was meant to be yours!! Can’t you add the perfect colored accessory near your face?
I did catch Maggie Rogers on the Late Show and was very intrigued. There’s a bit of Janis Joplin energy there and her voice is so unique. Thanks for the links that make exploring her artistry easier!
I guess we’re all salivating for the last season of Game of Thrones. We’ve been buying each season as they’re released so it’ll be a longer wait for me. I still don’t have Netflix but I don’t want to go through another winter without it! (insert grumpy face)
The loss of your tastebuds SUCKS!! I’m hoping you’ll find an antidote or several other taste treats very soon.

Well, I am loving that dress on you, that’s one! Also, Zoe, because, how could we not love Zoe???
And I love oranges as well. Sumos are my current favorite but they’re about to go out of season. If you have any in Mississauga, get some! I’d be curious to hear what you think about them since you’re new to the orange-loving society. 🙂
And if you find those boots or those shoes from Catastrophe, can you share our sources??? Because I love those as well.
I’m gearing up to watch the new seasons of VEEP and Call the Midwife. Two completely different shows but I love both.
Cheers for sharing lovely, fun things. You made my day brighter with your joy.
Hugs,
Sherry

I love this post!
That Pucci looks so good on you! The colour looks great from where I’m sitting.
I can’t believe all that snow. I thought spring was on the way but it was so cold yesterday I kept my coat on all day and went to bed in my clothes. I bet little Zoe is loving her walks.
How weird about you suddenly getting a taste for oranges. Oranges are just the best. I hate orange juice but real oranges – yum! Way better than sickly chocolate.
I’d seen Catastrophe advertised on TV but haven’t got round to watching it yet. The boots look very much like Fly, London ones. The shoes might be, too.
What am I loving? The new series of Line of Duty started on the BBC last night, I’m gripped already. I’m obsessed with sewing clothes again and I’m beyond excited that we’re spending the day in the pub! xxx

that pucci dress is a stunner and such a great find!!
@snow: if it starts to snow it is a sign that it gets warmer! and when the snow melts the spring foliage will have a good start with all the water….
😀
at the moment i love to potter around in the garden – and to sit in the sun for hours……

Dang, that dress is amazing!! The colors would make anyone smile.
And I love that it snows in the spring where you are too. We just had 2 inches on Saturday, but it’s pretty much gone now. That’s the best part about snow in spring…it melts fast. Hopefully!!
But getting outside is the best medicine. Heck, we’ve even gone for a couple of walks. (my previous neighbor used to joke that I take my Italian for a walk —since I don’t have a dog….ha ha)

Oh that dress! You look like a million dollars, with the flattering fit and gorgeous Suzanne-colors. I have some Netflix catching up to do; we just finished The Good Place.
And my favorite pug, looking adorable (perhaps a little hungry) and kiss-able. That backyard, though! It looks like the Arctic to me. : >

Goodness me – so much snow! Hope it’s gone now…
The Pucci dress is fabulous – well done you! I think you look stunning in it.
I hadn’t seen this series ‘Catastrophe’ but I love that actress; Sharon Horgan. She was in a TV series here some years ago called ‘Pulling’. I got the DVD for a Christmas present. I will check this new series out; her wardrobe looks amazing!
Just lately I’ve been enjoying rye bread. I’ve eaten wholemeal bread for the past 28 years and finally found a rye bread that doesn’t taste sour and it has sunflower seeds too!
Have a great week!

The Pucci dress is simply stunning Suzanne . I agree with everyone , the dress looks so good on you.
I am enjoying our Autumn , its my favourite season as it is mild and sunny and being out in my garden. Summer this year was extra hot and dry and our state had several bushfires, so milder weather is a relief.
Hope your weather improves and you and Zoe can have those walks.

That Pucci dress is fabulous, the shape and colors are amazing! and it fits you like a dream! You Are Gorgeous!
Sorry that you have to deal with all that snow, wow, but it’s not going to last forever!. Going out and walking with Zöe have to be such a great experience, this kind of things put a smile on my face.
I’m a huge fan of fruits and oranges are the winter default fruit here, cheap and easy!, I eat a lot of them too and even put them in salads, cakes or whatever. Enjoy them, they’re in their last moment now!
I’m going to have a look at Catastrophe, it looks like my kind of comedy and I actually need to watch something funny!, thanks for sharing!

Love the dress….but those boots 😍!!
Sharon Horgan said on Twitter and Instagram that her much sought after teal boots were from Tracey Neuls (maybe called Snug Patrol??)…. but quite some time ago.
Hope that helps!

Thank you so much Barbara! I didn’t know that designer.

What ?? That amazing dress is beautiful on you and I think the colors suit you perfectly. What a fabulous score! I am terribly sorry about the snow however. You are in desperate need of sunshine. I’m sorry that your taste buds are on strike! I hope they return shortly.
Oranges are yummy. I also love them but my taste buds work perfectly well.
I hope that the health situation is being treated effectively. I do worry about you.

Oh my, that Pucci dress is quite Drool evoking!! Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️.
I was quite thrilled to see you post about Catastrophe!! I love love that show and have watched all 4 seasons alone, while snorting and laughing out loud. It’s my kind of humour!! My hubby said he’d watch it with me and I would again. 😋
I’m loving seeing the sun as we’ve had straight grey and rain for awhile. Hope yours has brightened up too!
Have a great week
