I have spent this entire past week researching SUVs. I now know what the difference between a V5 and V6 is and what options, surcharges and new taxes now come with cars. Our little sports coupe is going back at the beginning of May so that meant we needed something that is a bit more practical than a speedy roadster that is perfect for the racetrack but not so great in real life. After lots of searching I think we may have come up with a winner…mostly by chance. We had gone to the Volvo dealership after visiting Honda, Toyota and Subaru. We drove a Volvo wagon before and loved it since it can easily haul around my 6' grid for my consumer shows. We went to check out 2 used wagons, a 2009 and a 2010 but Robert had the great suggestion of "just trying" the CX60. I said I didn't even want to test drive it since it was well above our budget. Of course we can all guess what happened, once we sat in that car we were done for. Now I'm wondering if we are making the right choice. Last time we were swayed by the amazing test drive we did in the BMW…going around a corner at over 100 km/ hr with the car still hugging the road. That sold us. At least this SUV will be more practical in terms of space. This time around we are purchasing the vehicle so we need to know it will work for us for the long term. I will let you know if this is what we end up choosing…we are looking at the same color as shown here.
