Well we’re off to Anaheim…
Every year when these shows come up you always think that you’re "prepared" but you never are. It’s day after day and night after night of work work work until you’re a walking mummy mumbling strange things like "don’t forget the signs, did I eat anything other than chocolate today? where is my double sided tape? do we have scissors? how many pairs of underwear do I need? I know I forgot something, when was I supposed to have that shipped? how did I miss that deadline?". Things go wrong, shipments are delayed, samples aren’t ready, computers break down etc etc. As much as we look forward to the chance to sell at the show and catch up with old friends we also look forward to the end of the show. I know for me when it’s all over it will be a chance to "get a life" again and maybe sleep more than 4 hours a night.
We plan on taking in Disneyland while we are there so it won’t all be work so I hope to have a good Mickey photo to show afterwards. I plan on hitting the Tower of Terror at least 3 times maybe more, that is one of the best stress relievers I’ve ever had. Since I have a fear of heights and falling it’s a sure fire way to get my adrenalin pumping by facing the fear head-on.
Off to pack my bags. See you all in a couple of weeks!
