We had a gorgeous Fall day here yesterday and took Zoe out for a walk in Erin Mills Park. Sadly most of the leaves have already fallen off the trees.
While walking we came across a couple of art installations on the trail which were very unique and unexpected. One was of this form of a person hanging made out of chicken wire…
The other one looked like a very small Indian Tepee made out of what looked like wasp paper and birch bark.
It was really neat to see art in the park like that.
Finally on our way out I spotted someone's clothes folded neatly in a pile sitting on top of a picnic table. Tucked to the far right of the table protected from any wind was a very bronzed man in his 40's wearing nothing but a smile and a teensy tiny electric blue speedo. I kid you not. I had to do a double take…ummm…did I just see a guy laying in his speedo in the woods? Yep. He was getting in one last outdoor tanning session before winter is upon us.
This is not the guy…he was darker and not quite as built but I assure you he was just as naked. I felt too shy to ask for a photo…but he seemed so completely at ease with himself and the setting that I'm sure he would have let me, although I don't think my husband was too keen on the idea. I wasn't creeped out by the guy. He was obviously a sun worshipper and was trying to absorb those last few rays of warm sunshine.
So as I say goodbye to Fall I say goodbye to all the little things I won't be seeing…like a guy tanning in the woods wearing nothing but a smile and a speedo.
What are the things you're saying goodbye to this Fall?
