What is better than the fresh smell of grass and trees in the spring? Not much if you ask me. I love this smell so much that when I was a kid I went into the bush and packed a bunch of grass, tree buds, sticks, leaves and flowers into a small bottle. I figured that later in the winter when all was grey and horrible I would be able to open that little bottle and sniff my way back into the joy of Spring.
I still feel the need to capture the smell of a sweet warm breeze scented in blossoms to lift my spirits when I'm down.
We came across these trees on one of our strolls. It was like walking into a Monet painting. The pink carpet of petals that covered grass reminded me of his water lilies.
The scent in the air was sweet and fragrant. I wanted to freeze the moment in time. It's a good thing we got the photos when we did. I am sure all the petals will be gone the next time we pass by.
Made with one sheet of Bisous PDQ Promise, 2 sheets of cardstock and some satin handmade petals.
