If things continue the way they are going right now I think I might be bald in a few days.
I am trying to teach myself Word Press and customize a child's theme in preparation for a "big blog move" over to Word Press which I figure at this rate should happen no later than…
oh say…
2030.
That is of course is if I hurry and everything goes exactly as planned.
And if you have ever done any kind of web work you'll know that it always never goes exactly as planned.
For those of you that think a child's theme might be a nice song based on a sweet child it only took me a few minutes days to figure out that it is in fact a "sub" theme of the "big" theme which is apparently called…
you got it!
a parent theme.
Themes are just a fancy way of saying website template.
These programmers think they are smart by making up a whole new language that only they can understand.
Having worked a bit in HTML before, (quite a while back now) I was prepared for a rather "large" learning curve. With CSS and PHP I have not been disappointed. And if you have no idea what any of those acronyms stand for, I tip my hat to you dear friend.
You can pay for someone else to do all the menial web related tasks, or you are a brilliant web savant.
Either that or you have no need for bloggy/web stuff in which case I am sure you still have a full head of hair (aside from the middle aged guys losing their hair).
What are the biggest problems challenges you face with your blog? (if you have one of course…otherwise congratulate yourself on all the headache and time you're saving yourself!)
