I was so sad to learn that Betsy Johnson LLC has gone into bankruptcy. She has always been a favorite of mine, both for her exuberant eclectic over-the-top style, bright colour choices and energetic personality. She seems to have such an incredible young spirit and when I think of someone that truly doesn't let their age define them I think of her.

I was relieved to learn that although the company now owned by Steven Madden went into bankruptcy the clothes will continue to be sold at department stores. Betsy Johnson had apparently sold all of her shares in the company a while back.  

This is a dress of Betsy's that I purchased around Christmas on sale. I wasn't sure about it when I saw it hanging on the rack, but when I put it on it fit like a glove and was so unique that I couldn't walk away from it.  I feel like it brings out my vixen alter ego.
