I swear that I have a sixth sense for sniffing out the most expensive items when we go consignment store shopping. This skirt is a fine example.
Oh no…I'm not going to be able to say I got it for $2 (like all the other spendthrift braggers picking up pieces for .50), in fact it is very rare that I find anything at the consignment store for that price. Average price for a skirt might be around $15-20. Trust me to find the one that is $50.
This is a wrap skirt and very unique as it has 3 buttons at the waist.
I bought it because it's 100% silk, fully lined, gorgeous pattern and colours and a flattering cut. I guess this might be considered midi length. It flows beautifully when I walk and could be great for Argentine Tango : ) Husband get the hint!
Hat and bag – vintage, Jacket – Danier, Boots – so old I have no idea, they are probably 15 years old, sweater Harrods ( a gift from hubby on one of his trips)
You know you've done well when the piece matches with a ton of stuff from your closet.
Isn't the bag fun? I picked this up the night we went on that vintage crawl. It's the perfect size.
I ended up having to put up my hair and added the scarf and left off the hat when we went out. I was warmer with that scarf which is like wearing a purring cat around your neck. Very toasty.
What is the most you've ever paid for something at a thrift/consignment store? Do you have a limit as to how much you're willing to pay for items?
