Ta Da!
The green 1950's dress from Cabaret Vintage.
We got quite a few compliments from people on our outfits.
This is the dress that everyone was enamoured with on my girlfriend. It is a replica by Blackbird Studios and just looks gorgeous on her. Va va voom!
Robert's hat, vest, tie, cuff links, and jacket are all vintage. I really love how his outfit turned out. Sexy!
I had some fun with some photos we took before we left…
Yes this is what happens when you try to pose with your man.
So here are some photos from the Swing Out To Victory dance held at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
We had a blast.
Under the bomber is where the band played.
We danced quite a bit considering we don't know Lindy Hop. We managed with the swing we know. Too bad they didn't play any tango.
Hazel is a pro dancer and also the reason we were there. She bought the tickets for us for our anniversary. Thanks Hazel!
The band was fabulous.
As were all the dancers.
Lots of people dressed up as you can see. There was even a Nazi couple walking around, which was a bit freaky and kind of weird. They really did look the part. Robert kept wondering why they were there since they had lost the war.
Just look at this skirt!
There were some lovely vintage frocks on the dance floor.
And some great vintage dancers as well.
Aren't the looks on their faces hilarious?
They also had several professional dance troops come in to perform.
It was a very fun evening and now we are looking for a place to take some Lindy Hop lessons.
Thanks for helping me choose my outfit!
