Skinny Jeans Forever
They say that skinny jeans are over but I’m still holding onto mine.
Especially the ones that are almost as comfy as yoga pants.
When you find something that works for you and your body type hold onto it for dear life.
Never mind what the current trends are.
Trends come and go faster than you can bat your eyelashes lately.
Don’t rely on them to dictate you style choices.
Work with whatever makes you feel good about yourself and your body.
I’ve owned this pair for well over ten years, probably more and I’m getting worried they are beginning to wear out.
Shopping for jeans is almost as bad as shopping for a bathing suit.
They are best bought the day after a two week cleanse where all you ate was puffed air cakes and water with just enough cayenne to make you cry. Not that you needed the cayenne to make you cry…you’d been doing that since day one of the cleanse. Yes, that is the perfect time to go jean or bathing suit shopping as you’ll be too weak to run out of the fitting rooms screaming in horror and denial. Plus that soft Buddha belly may have shrunken to a cute Pillsbury Doughboy pillow size thanks to all the air you’ve been gorging on. Who doesn’t like a soft little dough pillow? It makes me hungry just thinking about it.
How often do I cleanse?
Never.
Unless eating bananas slathered with peanut butter counts as a cleanse. Then I do it at least a couple times a week. Followed by a couple of squares of 70% dark chocolate for good measure.
Thus why I haven’t bought replacement jeans in over ten years.
This is the side of my office you rarely see.
I’m normally taking photos in the corner or on the other side of the room where my vintage couch is situated.
I love my office. It was loads of work when I chose to redecorate on my own and I’ve never regretted it for a second.
My office is one of the two rooms in our house that has natural light.
In my next house I plan on having floor to ceiling windows facing south with a view of the ocean and mountains in the background. {sigh}
That and puffed air cakes that taste like chocolate brownies dipped in ripple potato chips.
Mmm… ripple potato chips.
For now I make due with permanent blooming florals on my walls and rice cakes that taste like…well…rice cakes, a combination of styrofoam with a tiny bit of salt added for flavour. Yum!
Are you holding onto your skinny jeans? Have you ever done a cleanse?
Linking up with Patti for Visible Monday.
