I wanted to try my hand at what I consider "true" color blocking, different solid colors for each piece that I'm wearing.
I almost had to work my way up to this. I started out by pairing my solid brighter green jeans with patterned tops, and shoes. Then I went to just patterned tops and solid shoes and now finally I'm at all solid colors. I would suggest keeping any kind of accessory to larger solid colored pieces, nothing too delicate or detailed as it would take away from the overall look. It's a real step away from what I would usually wear but that is part of the fun of fashion, it allows you to try different things.
