I wore a little vintage fit and flare dress in red and white from Amsterdam…by Uli Richter a German designer out this weekend while shopping for some thrift and antique finds.
This car was the perfect accessory for my dress! We spotted it outside one of the antique malls.
We went to a town nearby and scored a vintage gumball machine for Robert's office. I'm "almost" ready for the big reveal. The chair I want for the room is $1500 though…so we will be waiting on that most likely until we win the lottery. Either that or I manage to score one at an estate sale.
Back to the dress.
I spotted it immediately upon entering the vintage shop in Amsterdam but they were literally closing the doors on us at 6pm and kicking us out of there. Those are some cushy retail hours in Amsterdam! We had to return the next day so I could try it on.
And voilá my magical shopping powers knew that it would fit me perfectly.
Thanks to Greetje for taking me back to the store and making sure I scored this lovely dress.
I used Vix's trick for cleaning with Oxiclean to remove some stains. It worked like a charm.
Now I just need this car…
And to remember the next time to remove my swatch and maybe put on something that actually goes with my outfit rather than a black plastic sports watch.
Do you ever notice weird little details when looking back on photos of yourself? I don't know why I don't see those details in a mirror. It takes me snapping countless photos, editing the photos, and then finally posting them for me to catch "the one thing I'd like to change."
What was the last weird thing you noticed about yourself in a photo?
