Yes, I buy clothes on purpose so it forces me to attend an event where I can wear my new found treasure.
What’s that you say?
Cray-Zay?
Naw.
Just trying to keep things interesting : )
Case in point…this silk vintage beaded dress 1920’s style that I picked up from The Edit in Hamilton. Thank you for holding this for me Jentine!

I wore it New Year’s Eve to a wonderful evening at a very swishy downtown hotel where were treated like royalty, ate like piglets, played like kids with all the proper New Year’s Eve accoutrements…and danced well past the clock striking twelve to the fabulous sounds of the Toronto Big Band.
It was magical.

All because I had to make sure this dress lived the life it was meant to lead.
I’ve even managed to find yet another great party for my dress to attend on Jan 30th! A 1920’s Speakeasy with 4 course dinner, dancing and live jazz.
Wohoo!
I owe it all to the dress.

And a bit to this guy…for being game.

What a brilliant way to ring in 2015!
My dress and I had a smashing time.
What spectacular pieces in your closet are begging to be taken out and worn? Or maybe you are like Vix and have no qualms about wearing a fancy gown to buy groceries. (Seriously…that woman is my hero!)
Me…I like my clothes to push me to socialize and party more. This vintage beaded gown is my personal life coach…urging me out of my house to interact with people in a real life setting, and shake my groove thang outside of the virtual world in which I normally find myself.
Do you have any pieces in your closet that could be your life coach?
