Since summer is for relaxing and not slaving away in the kitchen why not save yourself some work and make a cocktail that includes a snack on the rim?
I used this cocktail recipe and added some extra tabasco sauce.
For the garnish/snack I went all out in the pickle aisle and picked up jalapenos, sweet cocktail onions and olives. That wasn’t quite enough so I added a cherry tomato, thick slice of cucumber and nice stick of celery.
If you are extra hungry add in a stick of blanched asparagus and a carrot too. I have even seen these with tiger shrimp on the side. Yum!
If you are worried you might still not be satiated…pair this with some ready-in-3-minutes edamame and voilà…instant sophisticated appetizers and drinks.
