DIY project – Altered Army Jacket

I've been wanting to have some fun with my favourite army inspired jacket for a while now. This is what I came up with…

I used lots of bits and bobs I had hanging around my studio and some great vintage pieces that I was able to incorporate. 

I like the idea of it looking like medals on the jacket.

I added the bit of velvet ribbon on the other side to balance the piece.

The jacket already had lots of great detailing but this adds something a little special. I didn't want to add too much colour since that would make the jacket harder to pair with other pieces so I kept the colours very neutral.
