Can you tell the fake in these photos?
No…it's not me.
The jacket reminds me of this…
But of course I didn't have an extra $1,500 laying around needing to be spent on a vintage Chanel jacket so I picked up this faux Chanel for $12 at Value Village.
I need to get better photos because the details are amazing. The buttons, the seaming, the tweed. It's by Kasper.
Yes it had to spend 4 days outside airing out that raunchy thrift store stench…but now after a few days outside and a good shave with my clothing de-piller she is looking lovely.
The shoes…the shoes are real. Anyi Lu. I'd never heard of that brand before I stumbled across these at a consignment store. They caught my eye right away and when I slipped my toes in them I could feel the quality. I used up most of my store credit to buy these babies.
I saw the most amazing Chanel jacket when we were out last Thursday night for a Vintage Crawl in downtown Toronto. I think it was $2,500. Yummmm….yeah…..no.
That can't stop a gal from dreaming though.
If I could own one piece of authentic high end clothing it would probably either a Belstaff leather jacket, a Hermes Birkin bag or a Chanel blazer.
What would you choose? And don't worry…if you are like me, it will be hard to narrow it down to just one choice : )
If you are lucky enough to already own a piece of high end clothing… please share.
Then we can all be jealous of your good fortune.

Lovely my dear!
I saw a thrift shop smell tip the other day… if only I could remember it. I agree though and my mum always said that a clear night air could get rid of any smell.
Love the outfit and noticed the gold watch 🙂 Thanks for sharing with WW Suzanne xo
That jacket looks amazing (and just like the original) only better, ‘cos you’re rocking it. Those shoes are fabulous, too.
I not only found an original Oz Clark in a charity shop a few weeks ago but a vintage Pucci jacket a week later! xxx
Suzanne – I love how you paired such a classy blazer with such chic jeans & hat. LOVE this outfit! Those shoes are such a perfect touch! If I could have on thing, I think it would be a Birkin bag if money was no object. I can dream 🙂

Fab jacket, Suzanne! And you saved $1,488 too, good shopping there. Love the whole look. My dream splurge would probably be a Cartier tank watch, dreaming now . . .
Both the shoes at the jacket are very pretty! I’m not much of one for having any knowledge of designer or high end clothing or desire for them. If I were to splurge on anything, it would probably be a custom sewn and beaded traditional Malaysian outfit. Those can get pricey!
So that first Chanel jacket was only $1500? That is actually a good price for that one! Those shoes are beyond amazing, I just checked out their site, some really nice shoes! You look so chic in this outfit, let’s hang out together! XOXOXOX
You have a great eye! The jacket is killer and with the shoes, this outfit is divine. Of course with the addition of headwear, I’m sure you turned many a head. Thank you for linking up with Hat Attack.
I’ve found a number of high end items at estate sales for unbelievable prices. YSL, Prada, etc. It happens less often now, but fun when it does.
Love the blazer!
You look fantastic!! I love this outfit!! I definitely would’ve fought you for those shoes!!
I’m not sure what I’d like to find…..
Wow! Nice outfit. And what a find, this jacket.
I do not own, buy or aspire designer stuff. Simply unaffordable. Oh, I do own a pair of Prada shoes that are dear to me. Not only are they pretty and comfy, but they belonged to my sweet sis-in-law who passed away. When I wear them I think of her.
That does make them so much more valuable. I love it when an article of clothing has memories attached.
So much more competition in the thrifting game now.
Okay : )
I bet those are pricey. All the hand stitched beads and details that go into those astound me.
You are like my husband…he is obsessed with watches.
Glad you agree twin : )
Okay I will lend you mine when I win the lottery : )
Wow the thrifting fairies were favouring you.
I could really use a good tip to get out the smell from vintage handbags. I have a pearl clutch and a beaded clutch that I got at an estate sale and no matter what I do, put them in a bag with Baking Soda for weeks, sit them outside, spray with Febreze… nothing works.
That’s a gorgeous jacket, and a cool outfit. I like your style!
I think I would splurge on some Frye boots if I was feeling flush. But I should probably do some more looking around.
awesome find. and those shoes! please! i love them.
Fabulous blazer!! I know what you mean about the stench and I do the same–fresh air and sunshine helps!
I have a pink tweedy blazer that I’ll be showing later in the fall.
