Get Your GREEN On!
In anticipation of St. Patrick's Day tomorrow I'm showing off some new bright green jeans. It has to be noted that I have a fear of light colored pants, or as I call them…fatty pants. As a rule lighter colors will make you appear larger and darker will make you look smaller. Of course Spring and Summer come along and all my safe dark colors of Winter and Fall are not only a bit dull and boring but hotter to wear. I needed to get with the new brighter Spring program and give some bright lighter colored jeans a try.

Shoes – Tahari
Jeans – TJ Maxx
Sweater – Rickis
Necklace – One-of-a-kind Handmade from Australia
I have now decided that this look is a little tame and I'm missing some key elements to really make these jeans work. Like these shoes…

Kapow!
and this top…

Some arm candy…

And a new lighter attitude to go along with the lighter jeans.
Be Careful What You Tear
Missed you all yesterday as I enjoyed my husband's anniversary gift…a day at the Spa in downtown Toronto. Funny enough after 5 hours of being pampered I was actually exhausted when I finally got home late at night…so no post.
Today I'm making up for that by showing off the other dress I picked up at Ruche. I love the colors of this dress! When I got it though I was a bit disappointed since it was quite long on me. I decided I would simply take it up…over 4 inches. It's has a very full lined skirt. I had never taken one up a skirt like this before. It is a huge undertaking. As I was cutting the bottom off I noticed I wasn't cutting it very straight so I decided to just rip the fabric…since normally it should tear straight. Well I think that I was a bit over enthusiastic since I ripped off too much…more like 6 inches. That is why you will notice I had to go and add on this blue lace detail on the bottom of the dress. Oops!

Thankfully the blue lace I had actually works really well with the dress. Remind me though never to try to take up a full skirt again. WAY too much work! It goes on forever.

Since I've taken these photos I've made a necklace inspired by this dress…
