My Top Three From The Oscars
What a joy to watch the Oscars hosted by Billy Crystal this year. It's like you get what you expect when he is at the helm.
I won our little Oscar bet since I got 16 of the categories correct. I'm happy to see that The Artist won big. It was so unique.
As far as fashion goes there were some lovely frocks out on the red carpet but I have to say I was disappointed with lots of the hair and make-up. This is the Oscars folks! That means Cameron Diaz…that you don't just wash you hair and run out to the limo and let it air dry by sticking your hair out of the window while driving. Or…Gwyneth…pull it into a super boring ponytail. It doesn't surprise me that they got ready together, they obviously did each others hair. Yeesh. Make some effort at least!
They could take some pointers from Penelope Cruz who as far as I'm concerned won the best dressed title hands down in a Giorgio Armani gown. She was so beautiful and reminded me of Grace Kelly. Her hair and overall styling combined with the gorgeous color and flow of the dress was simply divine. That is classic elegance folks.

My number 2 was Michelle Williams who seems to know how to choose something that is interesting and then not overdo it…unlike Jennifer Lopez whom I think always seems to push the envelope too much by showing too much skin and bling.
Michelle's Louis Vuitton was stauesque and totally different than everything everyone else wore which really made her stand out. I love the little brooch on the side, a touch of whimsy that suites her so well. The pink clashing clutch was perfect.

My number 3 was the Steve McQueen. It was a toss-up between this and George Clooney's gal who also looked wonderful in gold but I just loved the amazing details and embroidery on Jessica Chastain and how the colors work so wonderfully with her hair.

Who were your top three best dressed of the evening?
Who Will They Be Wearing? Better yet…what will I be wearing?
With the Academy Awards tomorrow I'll be ready to watch the red carpet arrivals and ooh and ahh over all the amazing clothes and styling that all the celebrities are sporting. If you caught the movie The Artist, the film most likely to win Best Picture it was jammed full of impeccable styling from the past. Hats on the men and ladies, gloves and bows with the most intricate detailing on every garment. Everything stunning despite the fact that we only see them in black and white. The Art Direction and Costume Design on that film are amazing. The story is lovely too. I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet. It's very charming and delightful and you don't even notice that they aren't speaking until the very end.
I found this great printable Oscar Ballot so you can play along and maybe place a bet or two on your Oscar picks.
I stumbled across this amazing site tonight from Australia that produces some stunning retro Hollywood 1940's – 1950's pin up girl inspired pieces called Wheels & Doll Baby. I LOVE them! They are sexy but still sophisticated and great for women with curves. It really reminds me of classic timeless sexy Hollywood style.

This is so beautiful! Just the print of the fabric alone has me drooling.

I could really see someone on the red carpet in this Green Godess Dress if it were floor length… it would be amazing on Julianne Moore.

I can really see myself in this cardigan…meeeoooow!

Or this amazing classic sexy leather jacket. Wow I love it!

I covet it all!
Now hand me some popcorn and let me get comfy…I'll be watching everyone tomorrow night rating them on their outfits while I sit on my couch all dressed up fancy in my fleece pjs.
