As promised…
As promised here are the photos of Marie working on her loom. I just think it's cool because it's not something you see every day. Especially in in a person's home. She has 2 large looms, one smaller loom and is getting another one that folds up so she can take it travelling with her.

A big thank you again to everyone who made it by to see us yesterday. I hope everyone had fun seeing the wonderful variety of work that was offered and also took advantage of speaking directly to the artisans that create it.
Get me to the loom!
Okay…I just realized that I don't have a photo of the loom from Marie's place where I am stationed for this Artisan Studio Tour. I will take a photo tomorrow. This photo of my little niche at her house will have to do for now : )
Three artisans are placed in the same house to make it easier for the public to visit the studios and see more artisans and their work. Marie is a weaver and has 2 very large looms in an amazing studio with large bay windows overlooking her garden. It's quite the studio. The larger loom is computer assisted, so she can keep track of where she is on her fabric pattern. If you get the chance to come by and check it out it's quite amazing. She even dyes her own thread.
I'd like to thank all of the wonderful people that stopped by today supporting the arts in their community. If you get a chance we will still be there tomorrow from noon till 5 pm …stop number seven I think on the map at www.artisanstudiotour.ca . Marie's place is at 1314 Crossfield Ben, Mississauga, ON. If you decide to come, say you saw this on Facebook or my Blog and I will give you a 10% discount. Hope you can make it!
