Black and yellow is a colour combo I was afraid to combine before. Since the skirt has yellow and black in the pattern I thought it worked and I don't look too Queen Beeish.
I thought my yellow shoes wouldn't see the light of day until next spring but then I got inspired from Katherine Of Corgis and Cocktails and decided that I could wear them in winter. I might change my mind once the snow falls, since these are suede, but for the moment they work nicely.
Yes…diva Zoe is there looking straight at the camera, getting in her 15 minutes of fame.

Hmmm…I’m beginning to wonder if my monitor colours aren’t off a bit. The tights should be showing up as black. I had to play around with the lighting in Photoshop so I’m wondering if it didn’t make the tights look a bit green.

bull dogs are so cute 🙂 Love that skirt, I have been fighting the temptation to go into Anthro..so hard with the sale emails I’ve been getting. I agree, dorothy perkins is definitely not vanity sized..which is why I love British designers. Karen Millen, LK Bennett, Ted Baker, Burberry are all true to size.

I do have a bit of an obsession with patterns. Probably because when I developed scrapbooking lines I was always making my own patterns.
Aw, yay! I’m glad you got inspired, I think colored tights and shoes are so fun – very Kate Spade-y you know? Plus, these shoes went swimmingly with the skirt. I always end up wearing suede through the snow – both my by ‘winter’ boots so to speak are suede! HA! I am awful at winter is what it comes down to. Love this outfit though.

Yes I had ombre shading. This week I got the colourist to add in some cooler blues to the formula and I’m just hating it. I’ve gone from a lovely warm deep red with strawberry blond ends to a creepy dark almost black cherry with slightly brown ends. Ick. I was so disgusted with how it turned out I *almost* bought my own hair dye kit today to try to redo it. It became overwhelming when I saw all the colours so I nixed that idea…for now.
