My husband was kind enough to bring home a lovely gift for me from Japan and Thailand…the flu.
Well I guess it is wrong to assume that he brought if back from his travels since he was home for a day or two before he got super sick. Then after a whole week of managing to evade the nasty germs they must have spotted a crack in my mental force-field and broke through, big time. Only now mine came along with a side order of sinus infection. Lucky me.
I'm on day 3 now. It feels like 3 weeks.
As a wonderful surprise months ago, without my knowledge, my husband booked us a little getaway to Las Vegas this weekend for our "when we met" anniversary.
Bad timing.
I know that looking at myself in the mirror I wouldn't require any makeup at all to be an extra on Walking Dead.
I even have the slow straight leg shuffle zombie gait down because I'm too tired to lift my feet off the ground. The weight of my fleece PJ's designer dressing gown is overwhelming.
Since my head feels like it's full of gummy bears cotton I am just as clueless as all the other zombies. The only difference is when I hear a loud noise I cover my ears and try to pull the blankets up futher over my head.
So…after an hour in the waiting room with 6 other infested germ carriers quick trip to my family Dr. I am crossing my fingers that tomorrow I will feel a bit more like myself. Or even like someone else. I'm not picky. I just don't want to feel dead anymore.
Oh my gosh, that first line seriously made me laugh! I really hope you feel better. The flu is absolutely terrible!

Nice to see you have a sense of humour while being sick and you are a serious blogger if you are able to write during this time!
Take care and get well!!
Thanks for the well wishes Carmen : )
Thanks Stella. I’m really hoping I feel better before we get on the plane on Friday morning. Otherwise I might only see the hotel room in Vegas.
I know I know. I’m willing it…
Seems like this year the flu is worse. Thanks for the well wishes Ashley : )
