4 Tips To Help You Choose A Classic Trench Coat

Make sure it fits you correctly, sleeves falling to mid hand when arms are down, shoulder seams sitting directly on shoulders, appropriate length for your height, belt sits at waist.
Consider your weather. Do you need a rain resistant coat? One with a removable lining for colder climates?
Choosing the right length is important. Shorter trench coats are easier to pair with pants whereas longer trench coats will cover dresses and skirts.
The colour is crucial. Neutrals will coordinate with all or most of your wardrobe. Pops of vibrant colour are exciting and fun but harder to pair with other clothing.

I’ve never been known for having a sweet disposition but when I wear this coat I feel positively fearless.

Nothing negative is getting in my way wearing this baby. No negative Nellies trashing on my style vibe. No winter storm warning trying to crush my hopes of an early Spring. No illness that has hijacked my week. No delusional blogger saying I appropriated their content. Nope. Nothing is getting to me in this coat. It is lined with BS blocker kryptonite.

Some deets on the coat, there are no holes, it is fully lined and I believe from the 1980’s.

Oh sure, if I had an extra bag of cash hanging around I could have bought this swish black trench coat in leather instead for a mere $1, 968 or go for one that is double breasted and on sale for $445.

But nope, I found mine thrifting.
