When I first spotted these oversized blanket scarves I wondered what all of the fuss was about.
Then I wanted one for myself.
Then I needed to figure out just how to style a blanket scarf.
Basically you are wearing a picnic sized blanket around your neck.
Super handy should you need to have an emergency picnic.
In winter.
Or hold up a bank with your plaid bandanna blanket.
Hat – Gap (sim), Boots – Consignment (sim plus they look warm), Sweater (sim- I love the look of this one on sale!) & gloves (sim on sale!)– TJ Maxx, Skirt (sim great black one) & Scarf (sim but even prettier!)– Zara, Handbag – Vintage (sim), Jacket – Danier (sim on sale!)
I feel like a hobo…have blanket…will travel.
I must admit I’m a bit hooked now and I bought 2 other blanket scarves in the last month.
At least if anything, when we have overnight house guests I won’t be short on blankets.
To style it I just folded the square blanket into a triangle, wrapped it once around my neck (pointy part of triangle in front) and tied the ends together in front. Anything more than that and it is too much like wearing a bulky neck brace.
This whole outfit was created because of this set I created on Polyvore. That damn Polyvore is like crack. I don’t need marketers to tell me to buy more…I’ll convince myself!
Another leather jacket I spotted that is similar now on SUPER sale
