Remember my post from 2 days ago about styling vintage palazzo pants?
Well I have a pair of similar (not vintage) pants I bought last year from BCBG.
Here is me missing the mark last year when styling them.
I did three things wrong here…
Wore it with a loose top.
Didn't define my waist.
Pulled the waist down so they would be longer, in turn giving the illusion of a longer torso and shorter legs.
Bad.
Bad.
Bad.
Here is me doing a much better job.
Pretty big difference right?
If you're doing loose on the bottom go tight on the top.
Otherwise you just look like a beatnik wearing PJs.
Placing the belt at the narrowest part of my body gives the illusion of very long legs and a small waist.
Pants – BCBG, Shoes – Nine West, Handbag – Anthropologie, Peplum top – Zara, Flower brooch – White House Black Market, glasses – Firmoo
This may look like a skirt but I promise you these are super comfy palazzo pants with little arrows on them.
I love that pattern. So unexpected and whimsical.
The vintage palazzo pants I showed you before had very high waists which is important when wearing this style.
What do you think?
Would you try this look?
