Not really.
But it does kind of look like that.
Tunics paired with over the knee boots = comfy
This is so comfortable it feels borderline naked. The thought crossed my mind that I was dreaming having one of those naked nightmares walking around downtown. You’ve had those right? Except as a style blogger I’m wearing my over-the-knee boots.
Of course!
I don’t know what is more shocking in my waking dream…that no one seems to notice that I’m naked, or the fact that everyone just keeps complimenting my boobs boots.
(Ha! the days of boob compliments are truly restricted to dreams now.)
It is too cold here now to walk around naked. Even in dreams.
I’ve layered this up with fleece tights, a turtleneck, extra socks, wool coat and felt hat.
Here are some other inspirational outfits of tunics paired with over the knee boots from one of my Pinterest boards.
My preference is for the one that is belted. I like a defined waist. Often tunics can add visual weight to the body and belting eliminates that issue.
I suppose it could be argued that the first lady is wearing a dress rather than a tunic. It used to be that you could differentiate a dress from a tunic by the length. Nowadays the dresses are so short that 80% of them would be considered tunics in my book.
I also really love the idea of the backwards oversized sweater. This would be so easy to recreate with a thrifted “Grandpa” sweater. I really want to try this look. It is unexpected and chic.
Does this trend appeal to you?
If you haven’t seen it you might like my other outfit with over the knee boots or this one where I pull a Clint Eastwood.
