Yes this was the outfit I was wearing on the fated day when I walked downtown and it was 45 C.
Boots- Anthropologie, Belt & Hat – H&M, Cross body bag – Thrifted, Dress – Marshals
This dress was so hot I felt like the polyester was melting to my skin.
Of course now that it has cooled off the dress is perfect. The polyester acts like a little body activated heater keeping me warm in the breeze.
Seems like more and more dresses are made out of polyester or some form of man made material. This style of dress is a dime a dozen now. I picked this one up at Marshals about 5 months ago.
They do make for great travelling outfits since you can literally roll them in a ball and toss them in your suitcase and they will still come out looking fresh.
There are certain fabrics I can't wear.
Angora. Makes me itch like my body is covered in hives.
Real fur makes me sad.
Certain kinds of wool also make me itch.
My favourite fabric by far to have next to my skin is silk.
I can remember my old boyfriend had silk sheets on his water-bed.
No it wasn't the 1970's and no he did not look like this.
It says his outfit is only 50% polyester but I guarantee the rest of him is 100% sleazy man-ape.
Did you read the copy?
Ummm…yeah.
I'm now trying to scrub the image from my brain of this guy unzipping…
Nuf said.
When you are shopping do you look at the fabric the item is made of? Are their certain fabrics you won't wear?
