These photos are probably 6 weeks old. I didn't post them because well, I'm don't really like the outfit.
I bought the dress at a thrift shop and now I'm seriously thinking it was a mistake. I love the colours but the dress is a shiny polyester mix and gets lots of static cling. Also I find that the pattern and colour are overwhelming, that's why I'm wearing it with a sweater. All that topped with the fact that the dress is probably 2-3 sizes too large for me, plus it wasn't even cheap, it was still $20. Argh!!! Live and learn I guess. If I were better with a sewing machine I might try to turn this into a top and skirt. I think that would work better. Maybe I should take it with me to the consignment store next time.
Another pet peeve about this ensemble is that although my tights in this shot are brown I feel they are too dark. They look black. It breaks up my body too much. This look will not be going into to my book of outfits.
On a positive note I do like the doggy brooch and vintage hat and the lovely background of leaves. Gotta try and stay positive right?

Well, I think you look fabulous! I certainly have done the same thing though…I’ve had to post outfits that I’m definitely not happy with only because I had run out of photos to post. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve regretted purchasing something, but I’m getting a lot better at being more particular with my purchases in recent months.

The photos are very pretty, but girl, I cannot abide static cling…lol. Plus, if you don’t love it, consign it again so you can get a big store credit and get something you do love. I recently had a huge store credit, and was so happy to take home some better-fitting pieces.
