Well kind of.
This jumpsuit is what I bought for myself as an early birthday gift. Don’t let it fool you here. It doesn’t photograph well. It looks amazing in real life, and feels like I’m wearing PJs.
I also bought a long denim jacket that looked great with it which they don’t have on their website. Has anyone else noticed that you can go into Anthro and not find anything that is on their website? It is like a whole different store. One set of inventory online, another in store. I suppose that is to make people get out and go into their stores more often.
I’m still trying to decide if I will keep the denim jacket or not. Both pieces were full price and I hate paying full price for anything. I couldn’t wait for my 15% off birthday coupon to show up in the mail. I’m hoping one of these goes on sale or I get my coupons so I can go back and get a price adjustment. Yes I’m cheap smart like that.
Is choosing to wear a jumpsuit “lazy style”?
It is just one piece of clothing. Doesn’t take a whole lot of brain power.
Maybe that is why I’ve become obsessed with them lately. I also bought a black one that I’ve been thinking of since this.
Here is my other favourite blue jumpsuit and my bold patterned jumpsuit from Anthro. Both have been stand out pieces in my wardrobe. I’m hoping these two new ones will live up to their predecessors.
Do you own a jumpsuit? Why or why not?
Tiina L says
It looks like a fun piece to wear in summer. And reminds me of the early 90s, flower-print jumpsuits were all over the place that one summer I spent working in a shop in Toronto.
Oh, happy birthday! When is your birthday? Mine is in a couple of weeks…
suzanne carillo says
I think there might be a few of us right around the same time. I’m in the first week of June.
joni@artfulcloset says
I love jumpsuits and would love an olive or military styled one but my waist is up too high to have them look right on me. This one is really cute and I can totally see it on you. Happy early Birthday!
Patti says
I am loving jumpsuits lately too – I think you got me started! This is a beauty. Are our birthdays close together? What’s your sign, baby? xox
suzanne carillo says
Gemini : ) and you?
Patti says
Gemini all the way.
Jodie filogomo says
I don’t own a jumpsuit…not exactly sure why. But your reasoning holds true for a dress too….one piece of clothing!!! jodie

ps…enough with the teasing… I want to see the jumpsuit on you!
suzanne carillo says
That is also probably why I like dresses so much! LOL

I have been obsessed with jumpsuits for a long time now, just got two at ZARA and a vintage CDG. I love a basic jumpsuit because they are easy, comfortable and can be layered and worn with many different accessories, belts scarves etc. Your birthday suit looks fabulous and hope to see you in it soon because it goes perfectly with your coloring.
Best,
Lyn
suzanne carillo says
I cannot wait to see these jumpsuits on you! I’m crossing my fingers they aren’t all black…although I know that is kind of your favourite. I’m sure you will accessorize them wonderfully.
Vix says
Don’t leave us in suspense, I want to see you in it!
They’re no more lazier than wearing a maxi dress – you get your workout going to the loo. If you love them then there’s no point in waiting for the sale to start, you’d be gutted if you missed out. xxx
suzanne carillo says
I bought it but am waiting for my 15% off birthday coupon to show up in the mail so I can go back and get a price adjustment. There is only a 2 week window for that though…so I’m hoping it shows up soon. But either way, it is in my possession ; )

Love jumpsuits, on the lookout for one but haven’t bought one yet. Think it will look fab this summer with a pair of heels. x

I’m wearing it with platform sandals. It does look better with high heel pumps, but that is for someone who doesn’t have Diva feet like mine.
Victoria says
I think platforms look fab too and very comfy. I bought a playsuit this weekend which is not too short. Look forward to trying it out, once the weather gets better 🙂 x

I love this jumpsuit! Gorgeous. Such a great birthday gift to yourself! You styled it perfectly. I really really want that hat, too.
suzanne carillo says
The hat is funky right?
Natalia Lialina says
It should look irresistible on you – pictures please! 🙂 I agree with Vix – they are just maxi dresses in disguise – easy to wear and stylish all by themselves. You know I love them. I have: black, green, floral, tribal print, military green and with any luck will add an orange one to the collection tonight. It’s great time to buy them while they are “trendy” now – so many choices! xxx
suzanne carillo says
I know you are so rockin’ those jumpsuits lately! I cannot wait to see the orange one!
Darlene Fadem says
I’m totally into jumpsuits right now! I went consignment shopping yesterday in Santa Fe and found several for my friend. Unfortunately, none fit. 🙁
I can’t wait to see you in yours!

I love it when something that looks blah on the model looks waaay better in real life on our own bodies. Heh. Great jumpsuit. But I’m very curious as well about the long denim jacket. I’ve had my eye out for ages for one. I saw one a few years ago at Val. Vill. and walked away. Gaaa!
The ease of dressing in a jumpsuit is more than made up for in the loo, as Vix says. But worth it.
suzanne carillo says
It is so very rare that something looks better on a person than it does on a hanger. I almost didn’t try this on for that very reason.
You should sew yourself a badass long jean jacket! Get Sue to help : )
Shelley@ForestCityFashionista says
I had a red and white pinstriped jumpsuit that I loved when I was a teenager, then never wore them again until about 5 years ago. Now I think I own about 6, including the flower print one I bought in Portland. I like the idea of wearing just one piece of clothing although you do have to allow extra time for a bathroom break. The one print, or colour, head to toe makes you look taller too!
suzanne carillo says
I’m so into the fact that they make me look taller. Funny thing is, I was into them in the early 80’s too. In fact there are two I can think of that would still look so great even today. How I wish I’d held onto some of my clothing. It has all come back into style.
Curtise says
Yes to jumpsuits (I have three) and no, they’re not lazy dressing – or at least no lazier than throwing on a frock. One piece outfits are great! That one looks fab, so come on, model it for us! xxx
suzanne carillo says
Soon : ) I actually took back the original one I bought and got another one that is a little bit smaller, even though it is marked as the same size. I hate when sizing is all over the place.
Paperesse says
Well, it’s a really cute jumpsuit and I’m sure you look fantastic in it. I have one in black with a shorter length leg (about mid-calve). I like them and the look, but going to the bathroom is a pain.
suzanne carillo says
Yeah…makes you want to drink less, which isn’t good. I’ve been hunting for a top/pant version where you can fool people into thinking it is a jumpsuit but it isn’t. I haven’t come across one yet.
Anna says
Rad! I love the play of patterns and textures with the jumpsuit and the engraved bag. Nice birthday gift to yourself, if I may say. 😀 Happy early birthday!

I have been waiting to jump on the jumpsuit bandwagon and ordered one the other day. I decided on a long sleeve shorts one that’s a tropical print. I am hoping that it works out for date night. This one sounds really comfy and looks great! BTW, I am the same way and never pay full price either. I would do exactly the same thing to save a few dollars.

I cannot wait to see you in a jumpsuit! It sounds wonderful.
I’m still waiting for my 15% Anthro birthday coupon to show up. I really hate paying full price.
Debbie Stinedurf says
This is a truly cool jumpsuit. And I’m intrigued by the idea of a long denim jacket…are you keeping it? For some reason I’ve been resistant to the jumpsuit trend…not sure why. Maybe it has something to do with the hideous jumpsuit I wore to my 11th grade afterprom. lol!

I’ve been wondering why I haven’t seen one on your blog yet : )
I took the jacket back. It wasn’t super long…just down past my bum. I liked it, but in the end the colour wasn’t ideal for me…too light.
Lana says
I never have much luck with jumpsuits – they never fit me quite right. Can’t wait to see you in this one! Not lazy at all – very pretty!
No Fear of Fashion says
No you are not lazy, jumpsuits just look fantastic on you. And because they are all one piece, they elongate you (which is what you want, I know). This new one must be even better than what I can see as you say it doesn’t photograph well. I think it is lovely.
I have no idea when is your birthday. So just in ase I miss it : happy birthday from me to you.

Like everything, I think it depends on how you style things to make a jumpsuit work or not. I think this outfit would work, myself.
