The army look comes and goes but I think that certain pieces will never go out of style like this great jacket by Marrakech that I picked up a while back from TJ Maxx. The army green color is a neutral and can be paired with most other colors.
The boots…well what can I say? I love boots and when I first saw these I thought they were cute but impractical. I mean a girl still needs to be able to walk in her shoes which is why you won't often see me wearing stilettos. I've bought way too many shoes over the years thinking that I would be able to wear them and then literally end up only wearing them in the house on date night. These Ash army booties are spikey but surprisingly comfy since they have rubber soles and a padded foot bed.
The outfit is pretty bland color-wise but I think the stripes in the shirt and the leopard bag add a bit of excitement. The boho jewlery pumps it up and adds a bit of color.
I kept the skirt short since my legs are short and when you wear booties they visually cut your legs.
This whole look could easily be paired with skinny or straight legged jeans instead of the skirt for a more casual look.
