So on Monday we literally got the best news we could ever expect from my husband's Dr. …the large peach sized tumour that Robert had removed essentially acts like a benign tumour. Only 3% of all people diagnosed with kidney cancer are lucky enough to get that pathology report back. Even the Dr. was surprised.
It took a few minutes for the good news to register. After thinking for months now that his kidney cancer might not all be removed with the surgery I honestly wasn't prepared for good news. The great thing is…you don't need to prepare for good news…
you just take it and then get unbelievably
happy.
Just won the biggest lottery in the world
happy.
Sitting in the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow dancing with leprechauns
happy.
Hugging strangers and doing an impromptu jig in the street
happy.
That kind of happy.
(did you see the guy at the end? he looks darn happy)
It is incredible how one minute you can feel like your entire world is going to end and the next minute the skies have opened to show you nothing but flowers, sunshine, hope and life.
Life.
The thing we take for granted every single moment of every single day.
Makes you stop and think.
What have you done
today
to ensure that you have lived?
To appreciate this day
these hours,
this minute?
Did you take time to realize that you are
lucky?
Lucky to be
breathing.
Despite the
problems
worries
difficulties.
You are here.
You are alive.
You count.
Be thankful.
Be aware.
Be happy.
To my husband.
You teach me daily how to be thankful for the little moments.
What incredibly wonderful news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Happy Dancing* 😀

I’m SO Glad to hear that – it must hae been awful to be wondering and waiting (I know it is, actually, from my husband’s fun stint with heart issues back in college). I’m glad he’s okay and that’s it’s no big deal – thank goodness!
I am so happy for both of you!
Much love, peace & grace,
Lynne
Thanks so much for your sweet words Helena. They really brightened my day.
So very true.
Wow…that is crazy since he is so young to have heart issues. I guess you never know anyone’s state of health until they lose it.
