I would love to show you some before photos of my best friend Hazel.
Before she changed her life.
Before she moved across the country…twice on her own, to places she had never been.
Before she started letting me style her.
Before she lost some weight.
Before she changed her hair.
Before she got those glasses.
Before she bloomed so spectacularly later in life.
But she would not love me for that.
Instead I will show you the Hazel I always saw.
Fun, hilarious, spontaneous Hazel.
Fierce, fabulous, foxy Hazel.
Kind, compassionate, spiritual Hazel.
Intelligent, sparkly, vivacious Hazel.
Secret shoe hoarder Hazel.
Brilliant, bold, beautiful, best friend ever Hazel.

Who knew that the second half of life could be so damn great?
Thanks for sharing it with me girlfriend. You're my inspiration on how to grow younger and better with every passing year.
What a fabulous post! And what a stunning best friend. Thanks for showing us Hazel. She looks like a fun person and slightly mad which is everything best friends should be. Xx
I especially love the last pic 🙂 What a great way to celebrate Hazel’s vivacious gorgeous self and your very close friendship.
Of course I adore the fierce red hair!
Hazel needs a fashion blog 😀
Love ya,
Lynne
What a great post. I love everything Hazel is wearing, especially those shoes, which are amazing! Right on, Hazel! I think the second half of life does have the potential to be so great, you may be getting older but you are also getting more experience and gaining confidence with every year. Being in my 40s has been pretty good so far! XO, Jill
We did a tradesie on the shoes : ) I bought those Ferragamos a couple of years back at a vintage clothing sale. Aren’t they just the bomb? They worked so well with Hazel’s dress I traded them for her new Miss Mooz brogues I wore in the other photo of me as “The Rich Farmer’s Wife”.
I chose the dress for her as well online. Basically she is my best friend and dress-up doll. LOL
Hi Hazel, so lovely to meet you! You’re both fortunate to have each other, especially with the same show size!
Hazel is AWESOME!!
I just got chills! What a fabulous, stylish and sassy fun lady. Nothing like girlfriends! Wonderful post Suzanne.
xx, Heather
You both rock and I love the way Hazel has turned into such a fashionista! Miss you both and hope we can find a way to connect up soon!
