Breakfast At Tiffany’s Prom Do Over
Prior to our recent blogger meet-up we strategized the best evening dress-up ideas.
We thought briefly about rock stars and an advanced prom. In the end it was more of a tribute to Diamond’s Are A Girl’s Best Friend…
With a bit of Breakfast At Tiffany’s thrown in for good measure.
We started out the evening from our suite with a balcony shot. Sherry, me and Melanie.
These couple of shots below were taken outside the windows at Tiffanys.
I don’t like the way my bangs are sitting in the above photo but Sherry ensured me it was very “gamin” which makes me laugh because I am about as far away from gamin as one can get.
The shot below was taken outside a bank. Sherry and Mel are ready for their Ocean’s Twenty heist.
Don’t they look badass?
I wonder if their husband’s know what they are up to…
After the street shots we headed to our favourite hotel lobby with the amazing blue velvet couch.
We found a well lit bus stop on the way back to the hotel and tried to get some more creative shots.
Below I was going for another Marilyn Monroe moment but instead of wind up my skirt there was light.
I Hate The Dress I’m Wearing
I rediscovered why I had this great little 1960’s cocktail dress listed in my Etsy store and not tucked safely in my closet.
This dress is not my friend. It makes me look like I’m nine months pregnant and ready to push a baby out any second.
On the way back I was hungry for shoes which I attribute that to my pregnancy cravings.
Melanie put together this mini art film of our meet-up. Enjoy!
We are already looking for ideas for our next meet-up.
What would be your idea for a blogger dress-up evening?

I think it’s great that you went all girlie tiara with an up-do. We love to see you, do you Suzanne and despite having second thoughts about this lovely gown there was some ambiance or mood that drew you too it when you planned your wardrobe for the trip. You’ve convinced us that it’s just plain fun to wear authentic vintage finery. We need to see you create a moment of charm and Audrey Hepburn most certainly exemplified it!! Sherry and Melanie evoke badass wannabes but something of their sweet and much milder spirit leaks through.
Next time? How about something futuristic. What will we be wearing in another 20 years? I don’t know who will host of where you’ll go but this crazy old non-blogger would LOVE to be included.

You were the BEST Breakfast at Tiffany Prom Date ever! Hahaha. So glad we got to do this shoot and that we kicked it into high gear at last. Too bad about the dress, but you certainly overcame your feelings for some stellar shots. Hanging out with all you guys was priceless. The time went soooo fast!!
I like Jude’s futuristic idea.

Reading through your post, looking at the photos, and rewatching Mel’s video has filled me with the biggest smile. Thank you for that. We had so much fun and I can’t wait for the next time to do it all over again. In fact, I’ve been watching the Flight of the Conchords series again to get ideas for video shots! Ha ha!
You ladies…I get all mushy when I think of you. So talented, creative, thoughtful, and beautiful. You’re ready for anything! It makes me so happy to be a part of it.
Hugs,
Sherry

Finally you with a tiara on a fainting couch ! How wonderful and fantastic is the slack. All three of you are perfectly in character and looking glorious. You do give off a movie star vibe , and the breakfast at Tiffany’s certainly shines through. Yes to the light, rather than the wind.
Amazing trio !!

What a lovely playful evening. As you said before, like children playing. Terrific, what fun.
You don’t look 9 months pregnant in the dress, but once that is in your mind, you won’t get it out. Love the video.
