Who doesn't love a cute bunny?
Only serial killers and pedophiles.
I had to borrow this bunny bag from my girlfriend.
No seriously.
That was part of the "unwritten" rules when I started in this bizarre world of fashion blogging.
Fashion Blogger Rule 9. (subsection A – Borrowing)
"If any of your girlfriends or friends have items that are "blog worthy" it is your duty as a fashion blogger to beg, borrow or steal said pieces to exploit feature them on your blog."
It was my duty people.
I know my chesticles are a bit squished. The bunny says look away from the armpit boob.
Have you borrowed any fashion pieces you've been coveting from friends using your blog as the excuse?
Tote & top – Anthropologie, Shoes – Sears, Jeans – Ethanol, Watch- Mistura
"I know you just bought this but I need to borrow it for a bit while it's still "new" so that it photographs well for the blog. I'll give it back…soon…I swear. Fashion blogger's pinkie swear. "
Are quotation marks passé? I feel like I'm the only one using them lately.

Suzanne I am obsessed with the awesome top your are wearing. It is gorgeous.
Hello Suzanne,
Oh, I love bunnies – the bag is great and unique. But what I also love are your abolutely chic lace-up shoes and the extraordinary details of your top.

Yep, that bag was definitely worth borrowing. Dang, I would have a really hard time giving it back, it’s just so darn cute. I do love your fashion blog ‘unwriiten’ rule and I will be remembering this one. I do need to mention your shoes, seriously gir, those are amazing. You bought those at sears?
aargh, I love that bag! don’t give it back, send it to me and I will be your BFF : > You look fab, and thanks for sharing with Visible Monday. xox

Quotation marks are a woman’s best accessory.
Fantastic photos, especially of you at the station. It makes me wonder where you’re going, what assignation you are headed for. You look gorgeous.
I’ve never borrowed for my blog, YET. You’re putting ideas into my head here.
Such a cute bag! I haven’t borrow anything yet from my friends but I like the idea. Love your look here, casual yet chic.

Oh hi! Nice to have you visit. I love the bunny purse! Great outfit / ensemble. You did a great job bringing it all together; esp with the purse. Oh, I would hope you have great thrift shopping in Canada. It is really great here.
Super cute! New follower.
Love the shoes!
Damn woman! You’re a smokin’ hottie! Love the whole outfit…the top was made for you…and that bag, another giant animal face! Love it!

Love yur outfit–the oxfords with the jeans is something I may try. But the BUNNY bag is just AMAZING!!
SO cute! love the peplum and distressed denim. I think Bunny says you look ace 🙂
This could be the cutest bag ever! How could anyone resist that face?
I have seen that bag at Anthropologie last week!
It was so cute!
This style would look great on you Marla. I got it on sale last year at Anthro.
Thanks Sabine : ) I get lots of use out of these shoes.
; P I knew you’d be my partner in crime.
Last year I got those shoes on sale. I never go to Sears but was visiting hubby downtown and had to walk through Sears to get to where we’d parked and I spotted these shoes.
: )
Ah well…I might have mentioned that I was there with my girlfriend urging her on to buy the bag. Honestly I think if she hadn’t bought it I would have.
I love a bunny and that one is super cute on you. Love the top on you and your humor always makes me laugh!
Great post! Happy Monday!
xx, Heather
How did you manage to get out of the store without buying it? My only option was to have my girlfriend buy it so I didn’t have to! LOL
Right?
Thanks Katie : )
The hotness level is directly related to all of these photos being over-exposed by accident. Over exposure is the aging woman’s Photoshop it seems.
Thanks for stopping by Lauren : )
I always read about people in the States getting stuff for .50, $2 etc. Every time I walk into a thrift or consignment store I walk straight over to the most expensive item in the store. No joke. And believe me, it’s not $2. Will need to check some out in the States.
I haven’t, but that is a fantastic idea! I love the bunnie and your photos at the station are wonderful!

Lol, that is the best blogging rule. how funny. BUt worth it for the bag. Also, I like your shoes. 🙂
I think you have done your duty to the letter here. There are huge repercussions for not following the rules. Your friend would know that. I wouldn’t let the bunny talk though. There would have been no noticing of arm boobage if the bunny hadnt opened its twitter mouth. It is a fabulous bag, an amazing top, great jeans and stunning shoes. Your job is done!
haha! What and efficient strategy for expanding your pool of feature-able outfit pieces! And man, this is the first time your blog has allowed me to comment in a while…my internet here is not the best, it seems like for the longest time it was letting me view your posts but refused to load comments–now that’s frustrating!
That bag is darling!! (& What a nice friend letting you borrow it)I’m totally wearing bunny shoes on the blog today 🙂 And that top looks dang good on you girl! These pics are gorgeous!

Great pieces all together! Shoes (especially these SHOES!) jeans, dotty puplum with a decorous flirt of decolletage … and yeah, the bunny bag as well.
All the retro girly-ness gives this some serious Lolita vibes, and you do it well.
So cute!
Love the bunny bag, and your shoes! Don’t give up using quotation marks – that’s the beginning of the fall of civilization.
ooh, sex-ay top!
LOVE this outfit…can we feature it on our blog tomorrow?
Would love if you did that : )

You are right. That bunny just doesn’t know how to keep his mouth shut.
Hi Rachel,
I’m sorry to hear that. I had noticed that a few of your comments had ended up in the spam folder but I took them out so I did see them and respond to them. For whatever reason TypePad seemed to think you were a spammer. I’m glad it has gotten over discriminating against you.
LOL all along I thought it would be locusts or toads falling from the sky…but nope it’s quotation marks.
Not to sound creepy (ha!) but I am obsessed with you! The outfit, the bag, the shoes, your hair – OMG, your hair. You are so gorgeous!

Thanks for popping by Sofia : )
You guys at Flock together are the professionals of borrowing. : )
Ha ha…well I think I’m a few decades off any Lolita vibes but maybe the crazy Mother of Lolita : )
; )
